The Sorthos Independence Movement (Drakona: ɛ̆ɾ̆ɛ ʅ̆ɿɔɾɔʌʋɔ ɔʌȷɿ̆), also known as the Sorthos Movement and the Sorthos Militia was a Jadahalan independence movement and militia founded by Zailo Gatala in 1233. Despite being partially a militia, it did not attack anything for the majority of its thirty-seven years of existence, and only began attacking during the chaotic First Edazoran Civil War, where it took part in several battles. Following the civil war, the Sorthos Movement and Sorthos Militia were absorbed by the Jadahala army, before being dissolved in 1270.

History

The Sorthos Independence Movement was formed on July 13th, 1233, it was the last Jadahalan independence group to be formed until the civil war began in 1265. It was formed by Zailo Gatala, a 36 year old Jadahalan. Originally it was intended to be a militia force, but realizing that a Jadahalan militia would be frowned upon by both Jadahalans and Edazorans, Zailo instead made it an independence movement - not unlike the Dehel Jadahala or Lodiya Movement. Like many other Jadahalan movements, growth was slow in the beginning. Despite pogroms and anti-Jadahalan riots in 1232, many Jadahalans were still afraid of joining the independence movements, fearing that they would recieve retribution from the Edazorans.
