Syora Sanyes Vehei e Soj (3 July, 1918 - 19 July, 1988) was a Yaraan politician and government minister, best known for representing Yaraa as the Minister of Yaraan Affairs from 1952 to 1963. Having been appointed to the position in the aftermath of Xeriren Awaseq's Massacre of the Cabinet, Vehei's decade long career as the Minister of Yaraan Affairs began and ended with controversy, and he was widely disliked for most of his time as the Minister of Yaraan Affairs by both Kryfona and Yaraans alike. Nonetheless, Vehei's dismissal by Tyeri Awaseq on 30 July, 1963 as a part of the invasion of Yaraa was widely derided and sparked exceptional amount of protest from Yaraans as "unjust," and he was regarded as a martyr to the cause of Yaraan rights for most of the rest of his life. After his ousting from the Ministry of Yaraan Affairs, Vehei acted as an adviser to several Yaraan parties, including Revolutionaries, the Yaraan Minority, and the Yaraan Progressives.

Vehei was born to a family that, in early Yaraan history, had been aristocracy. Although he himself and his branch of the family were not well-and-truly rich, Vehei grew up in a well-off household and was sheltered for much of his childhood. Vehei's interest in politics was sparked in 1925, when he saw then-leader of the Yaraan Kryfon's Movement Pery Hŏzga speak at a rally for the party. Vehei was seven at the time, and immediately inspired, and at the age of fourteen–although neither he nor his family had political experience–he joined the party with the eventual intention of representing the party in some capacity. Vehei originally worked in the party's GOTV operations until he was 19, when he became a part of general campaign operations. Vehei during this period attended Tidkae University, getting a degree in communications and graduating at 23.

At the age of 26, in 1944, Vehei was noticed by Hŏsgi Lŭla as a relatively good communicator, and he appointed him to oversee general affairs in the Government of Yaraa. This promotion put Vehei on track to his eventual position as the Minister of Yaraan Affairs; in his position in the Yaraan government, he essentially served the same role as the Minister position he eventually represented. Vehei remained the General Affairs Overseer in the Yaraan government from 1944 until 1952, when in the aftermath of the Massacre of the Cabinet, he was noticed and promoted by Xeriren Awaseq to take the place of the sacked Seidgos Hobarga. Although Awaseq did not state it while he was alive, the promotion of Vehei was largely because Vehei was seen as a "moderate" in a sea of far-left Yaraan figures, and therefore Vehei would be more palatable and easier to reason with. Vehei was not made aware of this fact until late into his life.

Although his promotion had a deal of fanfare, Vehei did relatively little in his decade as the Minister of Yaraan Affairs. Because of his relatively moderate positions, he was generally seen as an obstructionist by many of the Yaraans who he represented, and as such was kept in the dark on many of the more pressing issues within Yaraan society. It was also an open secret that Zyŏn Felyoz, who was in 1952 the leader of the YKM, did not like Vehei much if at all, and was on record as saying that Vehei was "only in the party to represent the YKM in government" and that otherwise, Vehei "would not be a part of our party". Vehei's effectiveness in his job unsurprisingly suffered greatly as a product of this dislike, and he reciprocated by bitterly representing the YKM to Tyeri Awaseq, who took the place of Xeriren after the latter's death. Despite this, Vehei was almost equally disliked by Kryfona, who saw his role as both unnecessary and inflammatory to the Kryfona Kingdom. His portrayal of Yaraa as in need of support from the government was detested by Kryfona, and particularly royalists. An effort to push him out of the position by several members of the KRP in 1956 was resisted only on the basis that his replacement would likely be farther to the left; Vehei also came to detest many of the Kryfona of the government as a consequence.

Despite pressure from both sides, Vehei managed to hold his position well until 1963, when a series of events transpired that ultimately led to him being fired. Firstly, the YKM had underperformed in the 1963 local elections in Yaraa, winning only 30 seats and necessitating a coalition government with the Social-Populist Party; then, shortly after the election, the Purge scandal was revealed to the public, undermining the YKM's support and forcing mass resignations. The Purge scandal also enraged Tyeri Awaseq–who by then was already on bad terms with the YKM and its leadership–and he ordered the YKM's leader post-scandal, Syinu Talga, to dissolve the government of Yaraa or otherwise face consequences. When Talga refused on 30 July, 1963, Vehei was called to Nylzsryf by Awaseq and fired on the spot to preempt any Yaraan action against the planned Invasion of Yaraa. His successor, Peitha Vaujes, was not appointed until January 1964.

Although he was disliked among the Yaraan populace, Vehei's firing was roundly criticized and protested vehemently by Yaraans both after it happened and in light of the events that followed it. Essentially overnight, Vehei became a martyr on the altar of Yaraan rights, and his treatment by Awaseq was held up as proof that Yaraans were seen as unimportant and lesser to other Kryfona. Vehei for his part did not say much on the matter, and largely moved on. After a brief period of unemployment, he took up a position as an adviser to the Yaraan Progressives, where he stayed until 1973; he also advised for the Revolutionaries from 1976 to 1982, and for the Yaraan Minority from 1983 until his death in 1988.

Vehei died suddenly on 19 July, 1988 after being involved in a car accident in his home town of Tidkae. He was 70 years old at the time, and left behind a twenty-four year spouse in Katins Eituari. The couple had a single child, Velsa. Despite the controversy that surrounded him in his life, he is generally regarded fondly by Yaraans, and he is memorialized by a statue in Tidkae outside his old townhouse at 21 Perdanbaresh Avenue.
