Layăn Koik Togirika (Arieles: /ˈlɑːˌjʌn ˈtɔːˌɡiː.riː.kɑː/; born 22 January, 1958) is a current Kryfona MP and the leader of the Aryela Party, which represents the Arieles minority of the Kryfona Kingdom and is currently the smallest party in the Kryfonsparliszaiye. Togirika has led the party since its inception in 1986, and has been a standing MP for the party since its first federal election in 1987. He represented the Aryela constituency from 1987 to 1999, and has represented the Middle Seuyastazal constituency since then.
Togirika was born into a lower-middle-class Arieles family on 22 January, 1958. He was born and raised in the city of Reasz for virtually the entirety of his early life, where his father and mother worked at the time. Togirika attended the Kryfona Academy in Reasz from 1964 to 1974, where he developed a general interest in politics. Despite being liberal, he joined the Conservative Aryela Front in 1975, and began attending classes at the University of Reasz that same year. Togirika graduated from the University of Reasz in 1979. He served with the CAF until 1982, when he resigned from the front and joined the then-up-and-coming Aryela Front. Togirika spent about three years as a middling member of the Front until he was given control of the Front's new branch in Reasz by Serikava Ceudienkõn. Togirika reluctantly accepted the position, and spent the rest of 1985 assembling the Front of Reasz into an organization which could actually influence the region's policy. By early 1986, Togirika had turned the Front into a regional powerhouse which controlled most of Reasz's city seats. The Front of Reasz subsequently was declared to be the Aryela Party and expanded into the majority-Arieles city of Aryela, where it was massively successful. By mid-1986, the party had outgrown the Aryela Front, and became an independent organization.
Togirika announced the party's intent to become federal later that year, and, after months of activism and paperwork, the party was officially approved by the Commission of Federal Elections in February of 1987. Despite a massive dearth of funding caused by the registration, Togirika announced on 17 February that he would be contesting the seat representing Aryela in the Kryfonsparliszaiye. A swift campaign by the Arieles majority in the city as well as members of the Aryela Party mobilized record turnout by Arieles in the city during the 1987 parliamentary election, and Togirika was elected with one of the largest majorities in the entire Kingdom. He was reelected to serve the city in 1993.
The Aryela Party won a second seat based in Middle Seuyastazal in the 1993 elections, and in 1995, Togirika announced he would campaign in that constituency rather than seek reelection in Aryela. There, he was narrowly elected in 1999, and he won by similar margins in 2005 and 2011. He announced on 4 October, 2011, that he would contest the seat again in 2017.
Togirika is probably the most liberal MP in the Kryfonsparliszaiye, and is openly an Aryelaist. He is one of four currently religious MPs in the Kryfonsparliszaiye, and like most Arieles, practices Syõniism. He was awarded the Golden Medal of Syõni by the Arieles crown in 2004 for his support of Arieles rights in the Kryfona Kingdom and his representation of the Arieles minority there, and is currently the only recipient of the Medal to be an MP in the Kryfonsparliszaiye. Togirika is married to Ăimia Sarihe, and has a single child, Morosge Togirika.
