The Social Populists (Kryfona: Sozejal Paplaisim; For. Kryf. /ˈsˌz.jɑl pɑ.pl.sm/; SP) is a sub-federal political party which advocates for social populism, general populism, and Independentism, an ideology which calls for the freedom of Yaraa and Reriskzeiy from the Kryfona Kingdom. The party is left-wing, although not as left-wing as many of its political counterparts: it is generally considered to be less liberal than the Aryela Party, but more-so than the YKM. The party was founded on 1 August, 1963, after its original members–western delegates of the Kryfona Social-Populist Partysplit from the party over concerns they were not being adequately represented in the party. These delegates came to be known as the "Western Wing" because all of them were from western provinces. The Social Populists is a member of the Social Populist Group (SPH), but not the Old World Social Populist Union (IVSPZ). Although the party has applied for membership in the group several times, it has consistently been denied due to its split from the KSPP.

The Social Populists began its existence as a relatively successful party due to the fact that many of its founders were standing MPs of the KSPP. The party was at first represented by 66 MPs in total, 44 of which were from Lawvsgara, and 20 of which were from Areimsede, Rsza, and Iyarzalhne, and within a week of its founding boasted a membership of about 180,000, the overwhelming majority of which had come from the KSPP. In doing so, the Social Populists inherited much of the infrastructure which the KSPP had lain in its earlier elections–for their part, the KSPP did not dispute this, although they certainly could have.

Despite their early success, the Social Populists spent most of the next 36 year period from 1963 to 1999 losing popularity and their seats. Although they started out with 66 MPs, by the 1975 that number had dwindled to 31, of which 17 were contained within Nylzsryf and Lawvsgara in general. The party was plagued with political troubles, funding issues, and a general lack of enthusiasm; in 1976 party membership was just 75,000. Competition between the several social populist parties also played a massive role in the party's struggle to hold on to its seats: the KSPP-aligned Social-Populist Party Lawvsgara had grown in popularity and began to contest the seats held by the Social Populists. They were particularly successful in Nylzsryf, and by 1999, the Social Populists had fallen to a record low of 18 seats.

Beginning in 1994, the Social Populists initiated talks with the KSPP in an attempt to reconcile their differences–it had been 31 years since the parties last communicated by that time. Low-level talks persisted for over a year before culminating in the Social Populist Assembly in 1995, which is now a semi-annual event for the Social Populist Group and its constituent parties. While both parties rejected a motion to unify, the parties resolved to unify their MPs under the "Social Populist Front." The groups also agreed to divide the Kryfona Kingdom into two halves. The Social Populists represent the western half of the Kingdom. In 1996, shortly after the Social Populist Assembly, the Social Populists applied to the Old World Social Populist Union, which they had neglected to join. A small controversy ensued after the application was rejected. Subsequent attempts by the party to reapply were also rejected in 2006 and 2011.

The party is currently headed by Morizkapa Kalizsje, and holds a total of 24 of the Social Populist Front's 55 seats. He has lead the party since 2009, and was appointed by a council of high-ranking officials to fill the position after the death of Kezia Kalizsje, the party's founder.
