The Yaraan Autonomous Province (Kryfona: Yaraa Azegesze Pesej, Yaraan: Yara Asegŭse Pesej) was the form of Yaraa from 1669 to 1806. Functionally a part of the Kryfona Kingdom, but essentially independent otherwise, the YAP was sort of like an extension of the Yaraan Confederation, which had collapsed several years prior. However, the YAP is considered by most to have been a separate political entity.
The YAP was a largely drama free entity for its existence, but after being neglected for decades under Kryfona rule, the Yaraan province effectively rebelled during what came to be known as the Yaraan Secession Crisis. The crisis lasted from 1802 to 1806, and upon its formal end in November of 1806, the YAP was formally dissolved, becoming its modern form as Yaraa Province.
