The Adborthos War (Kryfona: Adborszas Vorja, Arieles: Adbortăs Võha, Drakona: Adborthos Borha, sometimes colloquially known as the "War of Shame") was a three year long war between the Adborthos Dictatorship and the Kryfona and Arieles Kingdoms. The war was incited by the Moszejye Bombing and Săgănustă Hotel Bombing, both on August 21st, 1974. The bombings lead to the Kryfona and Arieles declaring war on the Adborthos Dictatorship just a day later, on August 22nd.
Despite the overwhelming power of the Arieles and Kryfona, the Aiadnasi kept the two nations from establishing a foothold in the Adborthos homelands until mid 1975, and held out properly for three years until November 1st of 1977, when Radina Nenathosin was killed in the Siege of Ratinethos. This came at a steep cost, however; the Aiadnasi lost almost five times as many men as the combined armies of the Kryfona and Arieles. By the time Nenathosin was killed, every major city in Adborthos Aiadna was occupied, and many of them were in ruins.
Financially speaking, the war was also by far the costliest war in the history of the Adborthos -- in total, costing around 33 billion Arakne; 8 billion to fight, and over 25 billion more in total damages. Further damages to Adborthos finance were incurred when the entirety of Laran Province and most of the Yolatho Province was annexed by the Arieles shortly after the war ended under the Ratinethos Pact. These, coupled with tens of millions of tons of lost resources, sent the new-found Republic into a depression, from which it only recovered close to fifteen years after the war's end.
