The Cabinet of the Monarchy of the Kryfona Kingdom, usually shortened to the Cabinet of the Monarchy in speech, is the official cabinet of the Kryfona Kingdom, and a part of the executive branch equivalent Office of the Monarchy. The Cabinet of the Monarchy is comprised officially of the twenty-two most senior officials in the Kryfona government, of which sixteen are directly appointed by the monarch and the remaining six are self-appointed by officials within their respective branches of government. Under the Kryfona Constitution, all members of the Cabinet are considered to be members of the line of succession and can therefore take the position of monarch; however, in practice this is purely formal and serves only as an emergency measure. With the exception of the six self-appointed members, all members of the Cabinet–as is true of all appointed minister positions–are considered to serve at the will of the monarch, and thus can be dismissed for any reason, although such measures are usually not taken. As is true of all federal public officials, members of the Cabinet can also be tried by the Kryfonsparliszaiye for crimes they commit in office, although this too is rare.
While the Cabinet of the Monarchy officially only consists of the twenty-two senior officials, a number of their subdivisions–particularly, those under the ministries of Internal and External affairs–can be invited into the Cabinet, although this does not confer onto them any additional powers. For much of the 20th century, the Yaraan and Tuszkean vice ministers were de facto members of the Cabinet due to the ongoing tension in both regions; in more recent history, the bureaus under the NWAA and CFE have traditionally been invited to sit in on cabinet meetings.
