Edazora, officially known as the United Provinces of Edazora (Eda. Drakona: ɩ̆ɜʅɾɔɩɔ ɂɔɒɔ̆ɾ̆ ȷʋ ʅɒɔɿɷɩɔ; Yogetaya Ladaltho ib Edazoya; Edazoran pronunciation: Listeni/ˈjɑˌɡɛ.t.jɑ ˈlɑˌdɑl.ð b ˈˌdɑ.zɔɪ.jɑ/) is a small landlocked country which borders the Arieles Kingdom. The country is relatively small and has a population of only twelve million.

History

Edazora was first colonized in the year 1221, during the Dahanila Expedition. The expedition was lead by self proclaimed king of the Edazora, Bodaniya Thale. The first Edazora settlement, Kataboriyos, was founded shortly after colonization began. On January 23rd, 1228 the Edazora Republic was proclaimed and founded, lead by King Bodaniya.

Things were rather slow, and nothing really happened for a good while - beyond the establishment of the Kryfona Kingdom - until 1265 when King Bodaniya died. Only Bodaniya had kept Edazora from collapsing in to a civil war  between the independence movements and Edazorans, and when he died, tensions quickly boiled over and the rather bloody First Edazoran Civil War started, in which almost 22,000 were killed. The civil war ended after six months, and resulted in Edazora being split in to two different segments, the Edazora Republic and the Jadahala Republic, lead by Yorlon Kahathos.

With the terrible civil war over, King Ahadales Tolaahaad took power of the battered Republic. His first act was to reestablish the infrastructure which had been destroyed, or had been lost to the Jadahala Republic. This succeeded surprisingly well, and by 1280 the Edazora Republic became one of the greatest countries the world had seen.

However, despite this prosperity and greatness brought about by Tolaahaad, there were still many disgruntled Edazorans. In spite of improvements to the infrastructure, the health care was still terrible and the army of Edazora was outdated. There were talks of revolting and overthrowing Tolaahaad, but none ever came to be, thanks to Tolaahaad being quick to listen to his people. From 1280 to 1286 he slowly improved the health care of Edazora, while also expanding the army and improving its technology. These things would turn out to be the last things he did as king, and he died of old age in late 1289.

Following the death of King Tolaahaad, Zasaigar Halan became the king of Edazora. He followed up on Tolaahaad's achievements, and strengthened the army of Edazora to 12,000. In 1291, Halan invaded the Jadahala Republic, starting the First War of Jahadala. The war was a swift and crushing victory for the Edazorans, lasting a mere three weeks and resulting in Edazora annexing most of Jahadala's land. With Jahadala on its knees, Halan began focusing on improving the standards of living in Edazora, and making alliances with his neighbors, particularly the newly formed Arieles Kingdom. Halan achieved great success, and the Edazora and Arieles have had good relations ever since. After that, Halan's rule came easy, and very little happened for the rest of his days. He died in 1321, and was buried in his hometown of Asalthos.
